EdRev Expo 2019 Workshop: Universal Screening for Reading Risk [presentation]

Dyslexia Specialist Kristin Koeller discusses assessment tools that can be used in the General Education setting to screen for reading risk and characteristics of dyslexia.  She reviews a comprehensive list of assessment tools by grade level, K-3 and beyond, demonstrates some assessments, and reviews several teaching methods that correlate to the assessments. Learn about how to screen for characteristics of dyslexia in an informal setting, how to respond to screening results, where to find guidelines for screening, and where to find resources for teaching.
