Apps: MoodKit and Moodnotes

Develmoodchart_iphone_6oped by two clinical psychologists, MoodKit is an app for draws upon the principles and techniques of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). MoodKit can be used on its own or to enhance professional treatment.

MoodKit has four integrated tools…

  1. The MoodKit Activities tool – provides a wide variety of suggestions for specific steps you can take to improve your mood.
  2. Thought Checker –  helps you to manage negative feelings related to a specific situation by identifying and modifying the thoughts that contribute to those feelings.
  3. Mood Tracker – allows you to make, save, and chart daily ratings of your mood.
  4. Journal – allows you to create, save, and export notes about mood-related activities and relevant observations in everyday life.

Moodnotes, created by the same clinical psychologists who developed MoodKit, allows you to capture your mood and improve your thinking habits through journaling. Moodnotes empowers you to track your mood over time, avoid common thinking traps, and develop perspectives associated with increased happiness and well-being.

Both apps are available for iOS devices from the Apple app store.
