Openings for RISE Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

April 10, 2020, News

Dear Friends,

As we continue to navigate the catastrophic physical tolls of COVID-19, there is growing concern about the impact of the crisis on our mental health. A recent Washington Post article states that “the pandemic has escalated into a nationwide psychological trauma,” adding, “if you’re scared, anxious, depressed, struggling to sleep through the night, or just on edge, you’re not alone.” Please know that during these unsettling times, CHC is here for you and your loved ones. Our clinical services remain available via telehealth, and we are currently accepting new clients.

Our care team is now conducting intakes for our RISE DBT Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for teens ages 13-18. RISE can help teens who have suicidal thoughts/behaviors, have recently attempted suicide, and/or repetitively engage in self-harm behaviors, and may prevent the need to seek services from an inpatient hospitalization or the emergency room. More details available in our brochure; please share widely. In most cases, our care team can let your family know within 24 hours if RISE seems like the right fit for your teen. We are also conducting intakes for our Middle School Multi-Family DBT Skills Group starting May 19.

For referrals to any CHC programs or services, please contact our Clinical Services Coordinators at 650.688.3625 or careteam@chconline.org.

Download “What is DBT?” infographic and share with friends and/or family who may benefit from at-a-glance skills reminders.

Stay well, and please stay in touch,

Ramsey Khasho, PsyD
Chief Clinical Officer
