CHC Receives Community Partnership Award from Stanford University
On November 1, 2019, CHC was honored to receive a 2019 Community Partnership Award from Stanford University at a special ceremony held at the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto, California.
Martin Shell, Stanford Vice President and Chief External Relations Officer presented the award to CHC’s Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Ramsey Khasho and Stanford’s Dr. Antonio Hardan, Director of the Division of Child Psychiatry.
Dr. Khasho accepted the award on behalf of CHC. In Dr. Hardan’s remarks to the audience, he mentioned CHC’s collaborations on ESPA (the Early Support Program for Autism) , the RISE IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), the joint psychiatry intern program and the clinical community experience for Stanford Child psychiatry fellow and emphasized why the Stanford/CHC partnership is so successful:
“What are the dynamics that have facilitated our success? It is definitely not by chance. We began “dating” years ago with the training programs, then collaborated on ESPA and then added an even higher level of commitment with the RISE IOP. While our two institutions are different, we both seek the same goals: improving the lives of youth with neuropsychiatric disorders. It does not take you long before you realize how surprisingly we complement each other. As Ramsey mentioned, we leverage each other’s strengths for the greater good.”
The framed award was accompanied by certificates of recognition from U.S. House of Representatives Congress Member Anna Eshoo, U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Speier, Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez, California State Assembly member Marc Berman, California State Senator Jerry Hill, and California State Assembly Speaker pro Tempore Kevin Mullin.
