Student voice is the powering force of the CHC’s Teen Wellness Committee.
Teen Wellness Committee is a community work group where students voice ideas, develop solutions, and take collective action to advocate for teen mental health. We are a mighty group, empowered to bring change and address issues and challenges relating to youth mental health across communities.
During each school year, TWC designs and conducts a wellness project, such as our book Just a Thought: Uncensored Narratives of Teen Mental Health and our Speak Mindfully campaign.
Any student in grades 9-12 in the Bay Area can join TWC. We meet twice a month at CHC in Palo Alto during the school year. Our committee includes students who are members or leaders of mental health clubs on their school campus, mental health advocates, students who have been impacted by a friend or family member with a mental health issue, students who have personally affected by a mental health challenge, and students who are simply ready to help. Contact Cindy Lopez, Director of Community Connections, with questions.
