Dear Pandemic: Answers to Your Questions About COVID, Science, & Public Health [web resource]

“Dear Pandemic” is a public service effort by an all-female team of eight PhD/MD-trained scientists across many social, clinical, and bench science disciplines who interpret the latest scientific findings, respond to queries from the public, and dispel myths around the virus via the “Dear Pandemic” website and social media profiles.

“Dear Pandemic” started as a side project originally intended as a way to deliver science-informed content to our family, friends, and neighbors. It has now grown into a large scientific communication endeavor with an international reach.

In easy-to-understand terms, “Dear Pandemic” addresses questions such as:

“Why do children have less severe COVID-19 than adults?”
“What counts as being exposed to COVID-19?”
“I have COVID-19. What should I do to take care of myself?”
“What’s up with monoclonal antibodies for COVID-19 infections?”
“Is immunity from natural COVID infection “better” than vaccine immunity?”

Readers can search by topic or keyword through over 1000 posts for the answers to their questions or submit a question of their own. Subscribe to the “Dear Pandemic” twice-weekly email newsletter to keep up with the most current information. New posts are added daily.
