Lori McGilpin

Lori has devoted 20 years of her career to causes relating to children, education and youth mental health. During the last fifteen years she has served various development and marketing roles for nonprofit organizations and schools. Her primary expertise and passion is in fundraising, grant writing and building meaningful relationships with foundation and corporate partners. Prior to CHC, Lori was a development consultant for various nonprofit clients helping them expand their foundation and corporate portfolios. She also spent six years at The Nueva School as the associate director of advancement where she played an integral role in the annual giving efforts and events, as well as the successful launch and completion of two capital campaigns, including a high school campus expansion. She started off her nonprofit career at the San Francisco Education Fund where she was in charge of rebranding the organization and raising funds to support enrichment and peer mentoring programs for San Francisco public school students. Lori found her passion for education early in her career during her five years as a marketing and communications professional for educational technology companies like Leapfrog Schoolhouse, Classroom Connect and Harcourt.

When she is not working, Lori enjoys running and spending time with her two daughters and husband. They especially love camping, skiing, traveling and going to the beach.
