Kate Hsih, MD, MPhil
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow
Dr. Hsih is a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at Stanford University who specializes in psychiatric assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families. She believes in a collaborative and compassionate approach to care, with emphasis on evidence-based therapeutic interventions alongside medication management. She is passionate about helping individuals and families understand and feel empowered in their lives and relationships.
Dr. Hsih completed her general psychiatry residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, and obtained her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to medical training, Dr. Hsih studied information engineering at Princeton University and pursued graduate research in medical anthropology at the University of Oxford. Dr. Hsih has extensive training in complex trauma, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, global and cultural health and novel therapeutics. Her research interest is in the use of mobile technology and machine learning science to improve mental health care delivery. Outside of work, Dr. Hsih enjoys backpacking, baking and beekeeping.
