Each year, the CHC Breakfast brings community awareness to mental health and learning challenges, while raising critical funds to support CHC’s programs and services for children, teens and young adults with learning differences, anxiety and depression, ADHD and Autism.

Our panel reflects our community — parents, educators and mental health professionals — sharing their stories all moderated by acclaimed parenting author and speaker, Julie Lythcott-Haims. Julie will lead the panel discussion with warmth, humor and authenticity as we discuss:
- Difference as strength not deficit and how neurodiversity adds richness to our lives
- Parenting, creating boundaries, fostering independence and problem solving, building resilience
- Practical advice and tools for communication and building healthy families as we look with forward with hope

Julie Lythcott-Haims believes in humans and is deeply interested in what gets in our way. Her work encompasses writing, speaking, teaching, mentoring, and activism.
Expert Panel
Genavae Pierre Dixon, LMFT
Genavae Pierre Dixon is a licensed marriage and family therapist, LMFT #102988, who is currently the Mental Health and Wellness Specialist at Palo Alto Unified School District. She has served in a mental health role within the district for last 5 years, the previous 4 years as the wellness coordinator at Gunn High School.
Pardis Khosravi, PsyD
Dr. Pardis Khosravi is a clinical director and licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and providing evidence-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents and transitional aged youth.
Shawneece Stevenson, MSW
Shawneece Stevenson is the Manager of Family Success Coaching at The Primary School. She leads the social needs strategy and is a member of the parent wellness coaching team. She provides parent wellness coaching with families and with coaches, she offers family success consultation & training to support the growth and development of the parent wellness coaching team.
Courtney Macavinta
Courtney Macavinta is Founder of The Respect Institute (Ri) whose mission is to give youth and their influencers tools to build self-respect so they can end cycles of disrespect and thrive and is based on her internationally best-selling book, RESPECT. Ri has reached more than 150,000 youth and their influencers in schools, jails, and prevention/intervention programs around the globe for the past decade, including a framework for nurturing self-respect in youth, and a program for ending the school-the-to prison pipeline via teacher training and school policy reform.
