Ryan C. Eisenberg, EdD
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Eisenberg brings over 20 years’ experience in direct work, advocacy and leadership for children and families with complex learning and mental health needs. A teacher, administrator, community advocate and organizational leader, Ryan has dedicated himself to improving outcomes for all children within our communities.
Prior to joining CHC, Ryan served as the Executive Director of AchieveKids in Palo Alto and San Jose, a nonprofit that operates nonpublic schools for students in special education, for six years. During his career, Ryan has developed innovative school programming in Hawaii, Massachusetts, and California, for students with complex learning and mental health needs. His passion has been creating more inclusive community settings, building programs of acceptance and learning, and on improving the overall outcomes for children who were previously not finding success in their communities or schools. Ryan has been an active voice and advocate in public policy issues related to education and child welfare. A strong advocate for youth with mental health needs, children in the foster system, and students with learning differences, Ryan seeks opportunities to give those groups voice and representation. Ryan has served on state-level work groups and as a special education expert for districts exploring equity issues.
