There are many tools and strategies that can help with organization, attention, focus, planning, and prioritization. The following are some tools our learning specialists love and use at the Schwab Learning Center.
Pomodoro Technique
The Pomodoro Technique was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. Each interval is a pomodoro, the Italian word for tomato, named for the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student. The Pomodoro technique uses a timer, typically for 25 minutes, to alternate focused work sessions with frequent short breaks.
