The Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI) is a national initiative based out of the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
The mission of the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative is to advance patient-centered innovations and improvements in children’s health and health care quality.
CAHMI highlights include:
Data Resource Center with data from the NSCH, NS-CSHCN and NHIS.
View a national, state or regional-level snaphot, search for data on indicators of interest with the interactive data query; or get more information about specific health topics on the Data Briefs and Reports page.
Well-Visit Planner to plan your child’s next well-visit. The Well-Visit Planner is based on national recommendations for parents/guardians of children 4 months to 6 years old.
- Explore key issues and needs important to the health of your child and family
- Learn about important topics to discuss with your healthcare provider
- Pick your top priorities and get educational information before the visit
- Partner with your child’s provider by sharing your personalized visit guide
Promoting Healthy Development Survey—an online data collection tool for parents about health care for young children (0 – 3 years).
The survey findings are used to help health care providers improve the care they provide to young children. A personalized report will be created for you based on responses. This report will guide you in partnering with your child’s health care provider to improve your child’s health care.
