Lydia V. Flasher

Dr. Flasher directs mental health training programs at Children’s Health Council and is director of an APA-approved, Stanford-affiliated Doctoral Psychology Internship Consortium program. Her clinical specialties include psychological assessment in school age children and adolescents, cultural and family diversity, cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, disruptive behavior, anxiety and mood disorders. She also enjoys working with parents to promote children’s healthy psychosocial development and recovery from trauma and other stressful events and changes. She is a strong believer in fostering healthy lifestyles and physical fitness in children as essential ingredients in psychological well-being and happiness.

Previously, Dr. Flasher has held positions including staff psychologist at Montreal Children’s Hospital, assistant professor at Colorado State University and director of clinical services and assistant professor at the University of the Pacific.
