A longstanding tradition of philanthropy and a dedicated and generous group of donors and volunteers are the cornerstone of CHC. This continues to be true as we launch new programs in response to the greatest needs of children and teens in our community.
Generous grants from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and Sand Hill Foundation made it possible for CHC to invest in a program to address teen mental health and wellness, and this investment has since turned into the Teen Mental Health Initiative.
Earlier this year, CHC received a $1 million challenge grant pledge from an anonymous donor to build on this vision and to ensure therapy is affordable and accessible to all teens, regardless of cost. Just recently we received a second $1 million pledge to help sustain TMHI over the next three years. And finally, another donor came forward to support the startup costs of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
These transformational gifts are helping CHC reach more teens—already, since the start of TMHI, we’ve provided therapy to 100 more teens. The entire community has come together to support this cause, and CHC is grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support for teens.
