Guest Speaker: Dewey Rosetti

Dewey Rosetti, The CHC Breakfast: Building Bridges between Mental Health and LearningParent, author, youth advocate, co-founder of Parents Education Network

Dewey Rosetti has been a student of the LD field for over 25 years. Her two daughters, ages 25 and 30, both have learning differences and both are following successful career paths now.

Dewey co-founded the non-profit organization Parents Education Network (PEN) 15 years ago with a mission to educate, collaborate and empower parents, teachers and the community to help bring success to kids with LD. She has worked tirelessly for the past 15 years to change the landscape of academic opportunity and outcomes for kids with LD by speaking at local schools, working with community resources, advising parents, leading support groups and engaging thought leaders, authors and researchers on the academic, social and emotional needs of these often isolated and disenfranchised kids and their families.

She is the recipient of the 2012 Heroes and Hearts Award for community contribution given by the SF General Hospital Foundation. Her book, Parenting the Square Peg, to be released in Summer 2018, is all about parenting kids with learning differences.
